Toxic wine?

Seems someone realized transgenic grapes, which can reault in toxic wines. While the article (as Nova Spivack said) is from an anti-genetic-engineering perspective, this is scary reading if you like (as I am) drinking a glass of good wine while eating, specially since they say that field tests have been done also in Italy.

But let me add somrthing: this is also plain stupid: one of the powdery mildew from which they are trying to protect is the Botrytis cinerea fungus which is also know as noble rot and is fundamental to obtain some of the best wines in the world: Tokaji in Hungary, Sauternes
in Bordeaux, and many other late harvest wines in Germany and Italy.
